Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to my friends and family. I hope this year brings happiness and prosperity to all who seek it.
I hope those who have Motorcycles get out as much as possible and enjoy. We have been surviving all these end of time dates so it makes me think maybe the real one might sneak up on us. We wouldn't want to get caught up in that driving in a cage.

Enjoy the Holiday's, Bob

Retired, now what?

That's right, I retired or something like that. I don't know what it really means to stop working so it seems right to work at something else. 35 years as an Ironworker is enough for anyone.
I don't know what I want to be when I grow up but it has to be different. It has to be rewarding but most of all fun.
I have been experimenting with different things but haven't found what I'm looking for. I know that that certain thing is out there but until it happens I'll keep trying different things.

Something Motorcycle related would be great but what?  One thing is for sure, I have time now for more travel and time to keep this Blog up to date. There may be randomness coming from these keys as I seem to be like a senior in high school wondering what my future holds. Sometimes I just feel lost.
Is there something I'm missing? Some kind of calling I'm not hearing? I had grand plans for the future but our state of economy pretty much took care of that.

I have developed a couple of Moto related parts and will introduce them in time with plans to sell online.

Winthrop trip

We arrived in the old west town of Winthrop sometime in the mid afternoon. Having just been over the pass and both of us forgetting our heated gear, it was time for a motel and a cool drink. Our accommodations for the night is a wonderful little place called the http://www.hotelriovista.com/
Located at the east end of town, everything was just a short walk away. The room price was $105.00 + tax, not bad considering it's location and amenities. We shopped the local shops in town and played a few games of pool on our way to mexican food at the west end of town.

All in all it was a great day of riding and a really nice finnish that evening.

And the next day

We left Winthrop and headed toward Leavenworth wa.

On the way we road by Beebe Bridge camp ground on the Columbia river to check out a possible place to Dualsport camp later in the year.
What a nice camp ground. http://www.chelanpud.org/beebe-bridge-park.html The rest of the day was spent neandering around and eventually ending up in Leavenworth. We always love to stay at the Alpine Rivers Inn. http://www.alpineriversinn.com/ Great people, clean rooms, walking distance to town and on the river.

A cool ride home

The next morning it was time to ride home and weather seemed to be cooperating. Not!
Like most trips on the way home in the Northwest............Cold and wet.

We are home and the blog on the road didn't go so well. Blogger made some changes and I wasn't in toon with them. It's not Bloggers fault, it's entirely mine. Sorry, this was a terrible entry.

A short trip around the north cascades

It's now Monday morning and I woke with a crazy amount of spring in my step. Deb and I said goodbye to our animals last night as we left to ride up to Lynnwood for dinner and a sleep over with Debbie's sister and husband.  Pot roast was waiting and man was it good.
Rain!, Damn, we just can't seem to shake this nasty weather and it seems to rear it's ugly head at the start and finnish of every ride. It's still riding though. This morning we are heading to Winthrop wa via the north cascades hwy 20. it's a picture rich road and cold at the top.

More this evening.................

Long time no post

Well, it's been a long time with no new entry's in my Blog. This will be short as there still isn't a lot going on in my Moto world. There is a new Grand Daughter in the world though, Teylar Marie. She's a healthy wonderfull little sweetie.
Washed the Motorcycles yesterday and have the Toy hauler ready for action. I am officially making today  the start of Motorcycling season even if the forcast is for rain!  Life is good and I'm going to use every inch of it!

The Blog and it's direction

Direction? Whats that? I am struggling with what to write, how to write it  and just powering through doubt and writers block. Lets start with writers block. First things first. I am not a writer, It's not my profession and I know this. That said, it's my intention to get better through just Powering through and reading a great deal more than I do. Time is a constraint for me or I would enroll in a writing class.
I might come across as being down on myself but no!, I have know where do go but up, as in getting better. Sentence structure and organization are a huge obstacle that I need to overcome as well as direction.

I think of something to write about but when it comes to laying it out, I hit a wall of frustration not willing to power through when I just need start and complete. I sit down in the evenings and jot down rough drafts on paper only to crumple the paper and try to hit the garbage with one shot.

So what do I do? I think my best course of action would be to simply sit down and write. It would be helpful if someone was to respond with constructive or destructive criticism from time to time. I'm a big boy and can take it and Lord know I've got it coming. I know several people that write for a living and I have been reluctant to let them read all this rubbish.  People of Note; Eric Williams, Sports writer for the Tacoma news Tribune and great neighbor, Reg Kittrelle, Entrepreneur and word smith of countless Moto publications.

Direction with the Blog
It has always been my intention to write about Motorcycle journeys, events, and adventure. I am not going to write much about past trips and adventure as there done and my recollection may not be accurate, Instead writing as trips unfold and memories are fresh. I started the Blog at the start of winter when the Northwest weather puts a damper on most things moto. This doesn't offer fuel for content. Or does it?

Time will tell as spring offers up weather worthy of good adventure's.  I guess this sums it up. If your looking to read words spun like a true writer, articulate and crafted with words that boggle the mind, you might want to wait until I get better.  If you don't mind the writing's of a soon to be retired construction worker, Stay tuned.

One last thing. Maybe I have trouble comprehending what I read? I say this because as it turns out, I'm not a very good editor either. I still find spelling errors while reading past posts.  It is my belief that a person that teaches ones self to do something, generally do it wrong and get real good at it making it hard to change all the bad habits that they have perfected. I worry I may fall into that catagory and am trying hard to avoid it.
